FIRST JUMP TANDEM SKYDIVE

The sport of Skydiving is practiced in a responsible way with direct relationship between knowledge, skills, and attitude.

Abbotsford Skydive Centre combines:
great facilities; modern state of the art equipment; square main parachutes; excellent communications and most safety conscious first jump courses.

Before participating in jump activities at Abbotsford Skydive Centre, you will be required to sign a waiver of liability.


Freefall Tandem 1st Jump
Freefall Tandem is the easiest, most enjoyable introduction to skydiving available. You and your Tandem Instructor take to the skies after briefing. Experience the magnificence of human flight harnessed together through: freefall, canopy descent and soft landing. Whether it be yourself (1) or a group (15)
we are prepared to give you the thrill of a lifetime !!

Skydive with your friends at Abbotsford Skydive Centre.
Freefall Tandem jumps can be made from the Pilatus Porter turbine aircraft. We have the capability and staff to enable up to "5" in one group to fly to altitude together in one aircraft. Visualize flying above the Fraser Valley viewing: Vancouver, Mount Baker, and Vancouver Island from a mile high.

Skydive Tandem with our chief instructor - Gerald Harper - (experience of over 14,000 jumps) along with our team of highly competent Tandem instructors.

Contact dropzone operator - Gerald Harper - in regards to "IAD and Static Line" first jump course or information on group discounts.

For those wishing to persue the First Jump Course,
Instructor Assisted Freefall course is followed by Accelerated Freefall.

Instructor Assisted Freefall

This course involves:
- Freefall training with the Instructor -
- Altitude awareness -
- Canopy control and freefall -
- 4 hours of ground instruction and video -
Following completion you will be qualified to participate in Level 1 of the Accelerated Freefall course.

Accelerated Freefall

So, here you are, you've completed Instructor Assisted Freefall and now, "the sky is the limit!!" Accelerated Freefall (AFF) is a program designed to teach you to become a skydiver.

The program runs 7 days a week by appointment.
Classes begin: 12:30 p.m. weekdays or 10 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays. AFF program consists of 4 separate levels.

Level 1 and Level 2
You freefall with 2 instructors that coach you through your training with grips at both your sides from exit, through freefall, until your canopy is open.

Level 3 and Level 4
You freefall with 1 instructor.

AFF chief instructor - Debbie Harper - (with experience of over 5,000 jumps) and a team of freefall instructors assist on your jumps through training for License and Certification.
